Stri Son Saorsa
(The one where we cleaned up on the trophies)

Youngest....(wi the drunkest)

Furthest....

Mostest....

At last another Long hard winter was over and it's our first rally of the year... Time to dust off the tent, find your Leathers and head to Lumsden for Aberdeen MAG'S Stri Son Saorsa. A good rally for us as we almost managed a clean sweep of the prizes... and an as an extra special bonus....no bun fight about who collected the trophy... or who got to take it home. Well done to Peanut and Annie. Peanut for getting his mits on the Youngest Rally goer... Annie for finally being presented with a furthest travel female (after 2 other c*ck-ups). And a big well done to us all for tunring up and getting pished.. and getting a trophy for the privilege

1st of the Year

What's that on your back?

Tents up.... beers open.... a right hook for Dek from Annie (well deserved after years of frustration,by the way)and it was soon time to relax as we all arrived...some more spectacularly than other... A rather dramatic attention seeking bike drop on the way into field from Alfie allowed Cal to demostrate his acrobatic abilities, Annie to demostrate what a caring person she is (actually joggin across the field to help - a feat that hasn't happened since 1983), and Dek to demostrate that he couldn't care less - sorry Alfie!

After freezing our ass's off at the tent we soon headed in to warm up."Pie shop" were the evening's entertainment.. and very good they were too. The rest of the night we did our usual, got pished and danced. Worthy of note is the fact that Gaz made it to chucking out time without fallling asleep

Whishky

Saturday we all got up and headed off in seperate directions on each other's bikes. Thankfully we all made it back safe and there was no need to hand over large amounts of cash for new panels etc. Also of note was the state of our friend Robbie by 3pm an the Saturday afternoon... Well done to Alfie for spotting him and looking after him. When your so pissed that all you can say is "Whishky" your in trouble. Though full marks for a spirited come back

Home safe ...

Saturday Night started with an excellent tea - provided by the on site catering - special mention is deservedfor their excellent rally breakfast too. Next our 4 month back log of Birthday club, a county blues rendition of Happy birthday for Annie. Leather, who has spent the afternoon in the pub, didnt manage to make the miraculours recovery Robbie had and spent much of the night asking bizarre questions and ordering rally tickets...still, it appears he had a nice afternoon in the park watching the boats!!

After a large round of clearing up a trophy time...did we mention that???? Gaz narrowly managed to avoid wining us 'biggest rally fight' of the evening when he 'playfuly' choked the wee kid sitting next to us, for hitting him on the head with an inflatable mallet-well it was long past his bedtime and he was over-tired (Gaz that is not the kid)!!. Our First 'rally puke of the year'...went to Peanut...who managed to share his dinner all down Elaina's back....nice!!

A night of dancing ensued - joined by our 'dopted wee mate Miles-who had managed to double his rally badge count after Dek turned out his pockets. Cal amazingly appeared on teh dance floor for his first club rendition of Angus. And Gaz inevitably ended up being carried round the hall on Chris's shoulders, who finished the circuit looking somewhat flushed....

Sunday morning saw the inevitable hard work of packing up...and after yet another hearty breakfast we made our goodbye's and headed off to whence we came...
